WHY MUI?
MUI (meaning MagicUserInterface) is a shareware package by Stefan Stuntz.
We decided to use MUI for the Graphical Interface for FAEdit out of many
reasons. First of all, MUI is based on BOOPSI, the Basic Object Oriented
Programming System for Intuition. In our opinion, supporting new
programming system is definately a step forward. In the case of MUI, this
means:
- The ability to adapt a GUI to any font and screen resolution,
color scheme and screen depth.
- Greatest possible customization of the GUI by you, the user.
MUI Applications can be adjusted to any screen/graphic card
configuration, and therefore, FAEdit can also be used on a
A2024 Monitor or a graphics card without microscopic fonts.
- The possiblity to take much of the work from the program. MUI
features many possibilities for automation of GUI elements,
like automatic opening of a window from a single button without
the program doing a bit.
- Many more...
MUI is a program you _SHOULD_ have. It is available on BBS or on Internet,
especially on AmiNET (like wustl.wuarchive.edu or its mirrors).
For further details on MUI, read the file "README.MUI" in this directory.
